In a letter written on one flight back to LA, a besotted Farrah reflected on a recent clandestine meeting. She looked a million dollars without doing anything. She never wore make-up at home and would shop at cheap stores like Walmart for her sweatpants. To Los Angeles and we fell into each other’s arms. While Greg struggled, Farrah’s career was soaring. By the time I got out of jail a year later, Farrah was with Lee Majors.’ ![]() I didn’t want her to know about it so I stopped all contact. ‘She was in LA and we kept in touch but I was getting heavily involved in drugs and then came my first bust. But the change came too late to save his youthful romance with Farrah. He now works as a drugs counsellor having cleaned up 22 years ago. Greg served two prison sentences for drug trafficking. A knee injury ended his football career when he was just 21 and he turned to, ‘booze, broads, brawling and drugs’. In a series of startling revelations, Greg claims that O’Neal froze him out of Farrah’s life against her will and that she referred to O’Neal as the ‘Fat F*** from the beach’. Our lives took us in very different directions but, in the end, her heart always came home to me and Texas.’ 'We fell in love with each other all those years ago and we never really stopped loving each other. ‘Farrah was my best friend and my inspiration. ‘We were blind, crazy, in love,’ he says. The truth, he says, is that for the last 11 years of her life, Farrah was involved in a very private romance with him. He has dismissed the image of Farrah and O’Neal’s tragic rapprochement as nothing but Hollywood fantasy. Now, speaking exclusively to The Mail on Sunday, he claims he was also her last. Not according to Greg Lott – a former American footballer who met Farrah in the Sixties when she was, he says, ‘like a frisky palomino – all legs, teeth and spirit’.
